What is the best compliment you have ever received?

In my last relationship, my girlfriend said to me out of the blue, “Chris, you’re the kind of guy I’d make a sandwich for.” I thought that was one of the most simple, yet sweetest things anyone had ever said to me. Of course, I didn’t expect my girlfriend to do that for me like it’s 1950. She is a strong, goal driven woman who wouldn’t let any man order her around anyway. It’s just the fact that in spite of that she would be willing to do that for me is kind of an old-school, roundabout way of saying, “I love you more than anything else,” or at least that’s how I took it.

What do you wish you knew more about?

I wish I knew more about musical theory. I took a music class in grades 7 and 8 but did not continue music class through high school. That’s one of my biggest regrets because my dream job would be a singer/songwriter. I think if I understood the theory more, I could understand the structure of a song and would understand how to compose and write music more efficiently. I would love to learn piano, which is a singer’s instrument and also a great instrument to get to know musical theory.

When people come to you for help, what do they usually need help with?

When people come to me for help, it’s usually about a relationship. If they need advice about tension with a partner or venting about a co-worker, or even just a shoulder to cry on because they just lost a loved one, I’ll be there to listen and understand what they’re going through. I’ve been told I’m a good listener and hold my relationships with people above all else.

What are you most looking forward to in the next five years?

In the next five years, I hope to do a lot of traveling, whether that be with work or outside of it. I’d like to see the world and experience something vastly different than the social media-driven North American culture that is shoved in our faces every day.

Who has really impressed you most with what they have accomplished?

Mr. Doug Williams has impressed me and many others with the amount of hustle he brings to the table every single day. He’s constantly striving to learn new things and wrap his head around new technologies, so much so that I don’t know how he finds time to sleep! He’s an idol to me in a lot of ways, and an amazing guy to try and base my knowledge level and work ethic off of.
