International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8 each year to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women across the globe. It honours the work that has been done in the women's rights movement while bringing awareness to the inequalities that still exist. To celebrate, we asked the women at Bespoke Audio Visual why IWD is important to them and how they #EmbraceEquity.

Sometimes in our careers we get the rare opportunity to meet a person who is so truly dedicated to their craft that they can change an industry; in our industry that person is Jim Armour. A stalwart of the business, Jim has been operating and managing events for over four decades and has honed his craft to a precision tool. Jim has an attention to detail that is unimpeachable and exemplifies the behaviour of an event professional.

The event industry was flipped on its head overnight and it may take a while before we see the industry rebalance. In this unique environment caused by the pandemic, we are having to rethink our work and meeting environments. Paused are the days of in-person meetings and conferences and instead, we must focus on creative ways to meet and resume business virtually.

It’s official! Bespoke Events has launched and this is our first of a series of blog posts! Thank you for your overwhelming support so far. Our roll-out over the last two weeks has far exceeded our expectations and it’s very heartening to know that there is such overwhelming support for our initiative.
