Team Spotlight: Julian Matrahazy

Bespoke Audio Visual on April 8, 2019

This week we are introducing you to Julian Matrahazy, an Operations Manager at Bespoke Audio Visual. Julian has been a member of our team since August 2017. He is an extremely important part of the team because of his willingness to go above and beyond to make things happen and his easy-going attitude.

“Julian is a well-respected member of our group, who always keeps a cool head, has a joke at the ready, and can find solutions to any challenge thrown his way.” James Durie, Director of Production

How do you spend your free time?

A lot of my free time in the summer is spent outdoors! Mountain biking is my main hobby, but I enjoy hiking, swimming and a variety of sports. Winter consists of skiing, going to the gym and playing squash to stay active through the cold months.

If you didn’t need to sleep, what would you do with your extra time?

I’d continue honing my musical skills, playing piano, guitar and drums although not sure how my neighbours would feel about my nightly drum sessions.

What would be your ideal way to spend the weekend?

Traveling around west Québec riding the different bike trails. That province has so much to offer for the outdoor enthusiast!

What is the luckiest thing that has happened to you?

My introduction to the audio visual industry. It came out of nowhere and has prompted (so far) a very fruitful career with lots of opportunities I otherwise wouldn’t have even known existed. Either that or once I got an extra $40 from an ATM – lol!

What is the most interesting place you’ve ever been?

I traveled to Hungary with my late father to see his homeland a few years back. Wonderful trip with lots of interesting castles, monuments and historical cathedrals.

We look forward to continuing to share our team spotlight series with you. Follow us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn to be notified when they are posted!
