A Look Back at 2023 With Bespoke Audio Visual
What a ride the past three years have been! From pivoting our business during the pandemic to focus primarily on virtual events and then returning to in-person events – we’ve reaffirmed what we already know, our team is incredible. Twenty-twenty-three has been another exciting year of learning and discovery. We had the privilege of working with some wonderful companies and organizations over this past year and have added events to our portfolio that we are proud of.
Here are just a few highlights from 2023!
January
In January, we provided audio and visual support for the Lift Cannabis Expo in Vancouver, and the OMERS CEO Forum.

In February, we helped the Canadian Media Producers Association execute their annual Prime Time conference. We worked with SCI Technologies to bring their reception to life at Union Station.

March
In March, we celebrated International Women’s Day and asked our team members how they embrace equity. We helped set the stage for The JUNO Awards, hosted by Simu Liu and televised on CBC. We were part of President Joe Biden’s first official visit to Canada and sponsored the internet café at AMMI Canada’s annual conference. We hosted the Event Production Network and their members during their spring member meeting in Toronto.

April
In April, we helped Co-operators with their annual general meeting in a hybrid setting. We worked with the Canadian Screen Awards on their annual awards show that aired on CBC. We sponsored the Canadian Screen Award for Best Live Entertainment Special which was presented to The JUNO Awards (2022). We were the AV partner for the Public Policy Forum’s 35th annual Testimonial Dinner.

In May, we worked with TIFF to launch their POP Japan series, celebrating Japanese cinema. We were part of the University of Toronto Scarborough’s $25 million investment announcement for the Sam Ibrahim Centre.

June
In June, we worked with Collision on their annual conference in Toronto. We used 11 trailers to bring in the equipment we needed to make it happen! Our Director of Sales, Mark Millar attended the PCMA EduCon conference in Montreal. We helped with content creation and scenic set-ups for this year’s Amethyst Awards.

In July, we took time to celebrate our team and their families with live music, ice cream, and a bouncy house at our summer BBQ.

August
In August, our team attended the Canadian Meetings + Events Expo (CMEE) at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. It was a wonderful way to connect with event planners. We helped with the event logistics for Tennis Canada and hosted the Canadian Audio Visual Providers Association (CAVPA) in our studio for their virtual town hall.

September
In September, we supported the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on a number of events including the red carpet for their annual TIFF Tribute Gala. SC Media Canada hosted their first-ever Absen ACE training in our virtual production studio. We helped with Canada’s Rock of Fame induction Ceremony at Massey Hall and the Canadian Blood Services block party to launch their latest donor recruitment initiative.

In October, we worked with BT/A for the Miller Thomson Lawyer’s Retreat Gala.

November
In November, we worked with Fluid Events on the Teddy Bear Affair, an annual gala that raises money for the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada. Between the Pages took place in Toronto which we were a part of too! It was a privilege to be part of the LIMITLESS gala which raises funds for Special Olympics of Canada. Our team attended the Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE) at their annual conference in Montreal. On top of all of the events we supported, we also launched our new and improved Studio B, the home of our virtual production. We can’t wait to show you the events we produce here over the coming year.

In December, we helped with the Canadian Walk of Fame gala which celebrates the very best in Canadian talent. We announced that our Ottawa office had moved to a new location at 5335 Canotek Road, Unit 104.
